Surface Details Surface Regium Finish polished Overview Regium is a polished agglomerate marble comprised of an off-white resin background embedded with black, gold and grey marble chunks. The look of this agglomerate marble adds vintage flair to any installation. The term “agglomerate” means to collect or gather into a cluster or mass. In production, chunks of marble are tumbled to round the sharp edges. The marble chunks are then combined with resin and placed into a large rectangle tank to be cured into a block. The block is later cut into 3/4 inch slabs or 1/2 inch thick slabs to be cut into tile. As a product containing natural stone, it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity. Beyond interior countertops, agglomerate slabs can also be used on interior and shower walls.
